Mission Statement Our focus lies in educating students to be instruments of Christ's love, and integrating His gospel message into their daily lives. We recognize the family as the primary educator, and strive and support those efforts. We challenge students with a strong and diverse curriculum that inspires and develops lifelong learners, responsible citizens and good shepherds in our global community. Philosophy As a Catholic academic community, we recognize the family as the primary educator of its children and we strive to extend and support their efforts. Together with Jesus Christ as our model, we nourish the continuing growth and development of the student’s journey in faith. We respect each other’s dignity and manifest a concern for one another in the ongoing process of education. St. Catherine Catholic School provides an atmosphere of acceptance where a child need not fear making mistakes but can grow through a variety of experiences. We celebrate the uniqueness of each child’s God given talents, intellectual abilities and learning styles by providing diverse opportunities to use and share these gifts. We believe the fullness of Christian maturity is developed when the individual can become a totally committed Catholic by having knowledge of the Gospel and integrating the message into daily life. This witnessing to the message of Christ is the responsibility of the entire school community – staff, parents and students. St. Catherine Catholic School strives to stimulate curiosity, foster educational flexibility and develop respect for all of God’s creations by making students aware of their environment and their relationship to it. We endeavor to develop a curriculum, which will enable students to become lifelong learners, problem solvers and critical thinkers who can cooperate and compromise with one another. As a result, each child will be prepared to lead a happy and productive life as a contributing member of a global society.
